Sad to say, that this is so very very true.  I WISH fandom was more what it believed it was, than what it actually is.  Which isn't to say that ALL of fandom is this way. But somewhat like the folks who chastise the middle of the road Christians, or Muslims for not speaking out more against their fringe … it would be great if the whole fannish community expected more from its fringe members too ….

I really loved this movie … one of the things that I loved is that it WASN'T really about romance at all, and more about personal actualization and finding ones priorities. I find it frustrating that people equate not wanting to get married at the earliest possible age to "may be gay".

Seriously people, when we say excellent communication skills, we mean, both written and verbal (400 spelling and grammar errors in your initial impression will not get you hired).

When we say 3 years of experience, we mean doing something at least SIMILAR to the job described in the job description.
